Robert "Bob" Kuhnle, member of the 2014 Class of the VA-DC Soccer Hall of Fame, passed away on Monday, September 12th. Robert Kuhnle was an outstanding advocate and leader in the Virginia Youth Soccer Association (VYSA) Referee Program. He became a USSF Referee in 1979 and a USSF National Referee int 1992. He also was a State Instructor and a State Assessor. He served VYSA as the State Referee Administrator (SRA) from 1988 to 1998. As a result of his outstanding leadership and mentoring of younger referees, the Virginia Youth Soccer Association had its first Referee on the FIFA Panel and ten new National Referees in two years immediately following his tenure as the VYSA State Referee Administrator.
